Eli Block finished third in the 103rd running of the Loudon Classic and told Roadracing World about his great result on his Aprilia 660:

“The classic was a wild turn of events, from having our 660 run for the first time on Wednesday, stock motor, no dyno runs, to not deciding to race the classic until 20 minutes before the race! It was a lot to take in after the race.

“The race was great, I came from 18th on the grid to crossing the line in 2nd on the first lap. After the red-flag restart, I got to lead 10 laps and as the track dried out I knew Ty Scott and Brandon Paasch were coming.

“I’m super happy with this result my first time on this bike and I’m ready to make my return to racing MotoAmerica for the rest of the Twins Cup season at Mid-Ohio. Big thanks to my dad, my team and all my sponsors and supporters for making this all possible.”

Joe Limandri, Jr. finished fourth, won $7000 and was happy with his result, posting this on Facebook:

“P4 in the wet Loudon Classic! First race on my BAUCE Racing, UTR/Torres Racing-powered Yamaha R9, top Yamaha rider, top Pirelli Moto USA rider and ran the fastest times of the race🤟. I can’t thank my dad Joseph Limandri and Anthony Corbo from BAUCE Racing enough, these two guys worked their butts off flipping this bike upside down every session trying to get this YamahaMotorUSA R9 sorted out! Took a couple laps to get my bearings in the wet, and had a huge deficit to the front but when the feeling came to me we started picking off riders and crossed the line in 4th. Feels good to be back after a long hiatus👊!

“This bike literally just got finished at the track on Thursday and was a completely stock motorcycle three weeks ago. Safe to say I don’t run the tightest program😂! Huge thank you to everyone who helped put this program together.”
