American Team Set for Macau Grand Prix

Three riders from the United States have been selected to compete in this year’s Macau GP. Jeremy Toye, of San Diego, California will ride the Lee’s Cycles sponsored GSX-R1000. He returns for his third trip to Macau after placing 7th in 2004 and 9th in 2003. Mark Miller, of Long Beach, California will be on the KWS Suzuki GSX-R1000. Miller finished 6th in 2005, 3rd in 2000, 4th in 1999 and 4th in 1998. John Haner, of Austin, Texas will be riding the KWS Suzuki GSX-R1000. Haner competed in the 2005 Macau GP but retired with mechanical problems. The team leaves for Hong Kong on November 11th. Former World Champion and 1988 Macau winner Kevin Schwantz, along with other past winners at Macau, will be guests of honor for the 40th annual Motorcycle Grand Prix (53rd for cars). The 60-mile, through-the-streets event will be run on Saturday, November 18th. After the race, the team will travel to Pattaya, Thailand for an 8-night vacation.
