A BUSY START TO THE 2014 RACE SEASON FOR SHELINA MOREDA.

Shelina Moreda will be quite busy over the next several weeks competing not only in multiple disciplines and series but also both in and outside of the USA. In order to get warmed up for the high banks of Daytona, she is competing in the Steve Nace All-Star and the AMA Daytona Bike Week Hole Shot flat-track series that starts in Savannah GA and then heads south down to Volusia and Daytona Beach, FL. This will be her first time venturing out of local short tracks and competing in other flat track race styles. “My dad used to race flat track, so it’s a big deal to me to be getting to follow in his footsteps and I think he’s excited to see me trying out his style of racing too” said Shelina.

BMC Racing and Mitch Harvat are supporting Shelina when she races flat track in 2014 providing a Honda CR-F 450 and valuable set-up and guidance. After a rainout on Friday March 7th at Oglethorpe Speedway in Savannah GA, Shelina was able to get out in her first races on Saturday March 8th and finished up with a pair of 4th place finishes. Shelina stated “I have to thank Mitch Harvat and the BMC Racing team for all of their help as I venture into another motorcycle racing discipline. I’m looking forward to getting some more seat time over the next couple of days.”

After finishing on the dirt Shelina will head inside the high banks of Daytona International Speedway where she will race in the AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series on March 13 – 15th aboard her XR-1200. Chili Pepper Racing will be supporting Shelina for this round enabling her to again compete in the Daytona season opener where she will be looking to better her top 20 finishing position from last year.

Chris Richardson – Chili Pepper Racing team owner:

“Chili Pepper Racing is inclusive, cause driven and fun focused. Shelina is such a great spirit, it was a natural to welcome her to the team for the weekend. She brings a legion of followers that help widen the fan base for any racing organization she affiliates with, so we are over the moon we could help support her AMA Pro Road Racing effort.”

Shelina Moreda – AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley Davidson #93:

“I’m exited to be with Chili Pepper Racing for this first round of the 2014 AMA Pro Racing season and to be able to help raise awareness for ACCO.org and VETMotorsports.”

After Daytona is completed, Shelina will head directly over to Qatar as she has been asked to compete for team QMMF again in the next round of the LARRS series, which is going to be run in conjunction with the MotoGP season opener weekend at Losail International Circuit.

Shelina Moreda would like to thank her sponsors: www.ChiliPepperRacing.com, BMC Racing, She’z Racing, GP Fabrication, AXO, Arai, Vance & Hines, Finish Line Fitness, G&B Motorsports, Go Pro, and Impact Safe-T-Armor.

“Motorcycle racing has taught me an incredible amount.” explains Czaia. It has helped me pursue my goals both in business and my personal life. In many ways, racing is a mirror of how I approach life. You have to take calculated risks and there are always ups and downs which is what life is all about. In order to succeed you have to be proud of who you are and of your heritage. You have to believe in yourself even if others don’t.You have to follow your heart and dreams or in many cases God’s calling and you have to never be afraid of failure. You have to just pick yourself up and start again.I have crashed a number of times at over 100 mph and I have never stopped getting back on my bike.It is the principle we all need to apply to life.

Our whole team is really looking forward to the races this weekend. We are definitely ready for an exciting battle.”
