AMA Pro Road Racing Competitor Bulletin #2012-01 To: All AMA Pro Road Racing Competitors Date: December 27, 2011 Effective Date: Immediately Subject: Date Change for 2013 American SuperBike Engine Control/Data Acquisition Regulations Due to the merits of the end users’ thoughts and recommendations on SuperBike Electronics for 2013 and beyond, AMA Pro Racing has extended the target date for posting the 2013 electronics and data acquisition rule changes from January 1, 2012 to January 30, 2012. As this is a central issue in regards to cost, parity, safety and team participation, it is of paramount importance that any and all feedback still being submitted to AMA Pro Racing be given the full consideration that it is due. For the past year, AMA Pro Racing, in close communication with our SuperBike entrants, has worked to identify and establish an obtainable, sustainable and equitable electronics rules package that considers the current economic realities of the motorcycle industry in general and our motorcycle road racing teams specifically. AMA Pro Racing feels that taking an additional 30 days to further study and analyze recently submitted viewpoints is both prudent and in the best interests of all concerned.
