AMA Pro Racing and Lucas Oil Announce AMA Pro Flat Track Sponsorship, MAVTV Designated as TV Broadcast Partner for 2012 Season MAVTV to Air 10 Rounds Starting with Doubleheader Event at Springfield, NBC Sports to Carry Four DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – AMA Pro Racing and Lucas Oil have reached an agreement naming the lubricant and motorsports powerhouse as a presenting sponsor of AMA Pro Flat Track’s top division and designating MAVTV as the series broadcast partner for the 2012 season. “We are very proud of our new partnership with Lucas Oil and MAVTV,” said Dan Johnsen, Director of AMA Pro Flat Track. “Lucas Oil is one of the most respected names in the industry and we are excited to begin working with them. Founded in 1989 by Indiana natives Forrest Lucas and his wife and partner Charlotte, Lucas Oil Products is deeply involved in many aspects of professional motorsport. Lucas is also now recognized world-wide as the name on the 2012 Super Bowl stadium, and recently completed the purchase of the MAVTV Network that’s now available in over 42 million homes across America. “MAVTV is a network built on a legacy of speed, danger and endurance and Flat Track motorcycles offer some of the most thrilling racing on the planet,” said Bob Patison, Executive Vice President, Lucas Oil and President, MAVTV. “Both Lucas Oil and MAVTV are very pleased to partner with AMA Pro Racing on a spectacularly unique American series.” Starting with this month’s doubleheader at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Ill., 10 rounds of the newly-named AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Insurance Grand National Championship presented by Motorcycle-Superstore.com and Lucas Oil will be aired on MAVTV with select programs slotted to air on both MAVTV and NBC Sports. Whenever possible, broadcasts on MAVTV will be featured in a primetime motorsports timeslot during a weekday, while programs on NBC Sports will air on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. The broadcasts, which will be one hour long, will include highlights of the event’s qualifying heats followed by flag-to-flag coverage of the main event.
