The start of Friday morning practice at the Honda Supercycle Weekend Presented by Dunlop Tire AMA Superbike event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course was delayed approximately 10 minutes. Practice was scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. local time, but pre-dawn rain showers left the track wet. AMA Pro Racing officials dealt with several puddles before sending out the AMA Supersport racers on a damp but drying track. Riders are currently feeling out the conditions at relatively slow speeds. Few factory riders had taken to the track as of five minutes into the session.
