Australia’s current and defending three-time Qatar Superbike Champion, Alex Cudlin, has confirmed he will line up in the 2014 Endurance World Cup for The QMMF Kawasaki Racing team.
Cudlin, who was part of the winning 2013 Endurance World Championship-Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) , has a wealth of international and Endurance racing experience in the Superstock and Superbike classes and believes the team has the right ingredients to take another title in the Endurance World Cup in 2014.
With his signing to the team, Cudlin has become an integral part of the QMMF family, having raced for them in World Endurance in 2010.
“To be singed for QMMF is a real bonus for me. International racing contracts are getting harder and harder to come by, so to have the belief that QMMF have shown in my abilities gives me all the motivation I need to really hit the ground running for round one, the Bol Dor 24 hour.
I have ridden for QMMF for 5 years now and most of that has been in the Qatar Superbike Championship.
To now head their new team in World Endurance will be fantastic.
“I know the mechanics and team personnel really closely and most of all I trust them to build a competitive and reliable machine, which is imperative for Endurance racing.
“The QMMF team have experience at racing Endurance. I have raced for them since 2010 and in that year we won the Endurance World Cup. In 2014, we have a new structure and we’re going racing to win, just like we did in 2010.” said Cudlin
Alex will also contest the 2014 Qatar Superbike championship with QMMF Kawasaki team. Cudlin who has won the Qatar Superbike Championship 3 times in a row will also be gunning to win his 4th straight title.
“To be able to ride with the same team in both championships will be very positive. We will know the bike in and out and myself and the staff will be able to work together easier. All in all, im looking forward to 2014!”
No word has yet been released on Cudlin’s teammates in the QMMF Kawasaki race team.
