AHRMA Roadracing Rounds 9 & 10 – Inaugural AHRMA Vintage Cup featuring 350GP

ELORA, TN, May 27, 2019 – Rounds 9 & 10 of AHRMA Vintage Cup series featuring the 350GP class, sponsored by NYC Norton and Roadracing World Magazine (RoadracingWorld.com) took place Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend at NJMP (New Jersey Motorsports Park) in Millville, New Jersey.

Both days of racing had Dave Roper and Alex McLean battling neck and neck. On Saturday, McLean got the lead for one lap but was unable to hold it, taking second place behind Roper. On Sunday, the racing was incredible. Roper and McLean traded leads 4-5 times. On the last lap, Roper had the lead with McLean gaining on him when McLean’s bike experienced mechanical issues just before the final corner, giving Roper the win again on Sunday.

Kenny Cummings, owner of NYC Norton, and sponsor of the Inaugural Vintage Cup Series had this to say: “While the racing up front is always exciting with the usual cast of characters, there were also races within the race. Just behind the front runners, there was some magnificent racing going on with some veterans and new faces keeping the entire field competitive and exciting. We are seeing new and familiar faces coming out with newly built bikes to join in the fun. Proof positive ‘if you build it they will come’”

AHRMA would like to thank NYC Norton and Roadracing World for their continued support!

The next rounds will be held at Heartland Park, in Topeka, Kansas, June 28-30.
