A Slew Of Press Releases Regarding 125cc GP And Mini Road Racing

After an entire year of supporting each other in a co-promotional relationship SCminiGP and Fastrack Riders decide to get serious. Fastrack Riders who is best known for their track days at California Speedway has shown interest in helping to develop up and coming riders from the SCminiGP program. Fastrack Riders who will host 42 track day events in 2007 has offered to provide track time to select SCminiGP riders to help break them into the 125cc scene. The track time will be free of charge on select dates for two specific riders SCminiGP President Josiah Taulbee has picked. It is likely the youth will rotate dates to accommodate all the progressing racers. This type of support is an incredible benefit of racing with SCminiGP whose families are being introduced to the new costs of next level racing. SCminiGP sees this relationship as the perfect fit and they are developing programs from the beginner level to advanced racer to accommodate youth progression. SCminiGP knows that they can only take riders so far. The premier racing class in their series consists of 125cc road race chassis stuffed with fully built 80cc motors that can reach 100mph. The bikes are raced on three of Southern California’s best kart tracks but are limited by the size which generally runs ¾ of a mile. This opportunity will allow for youth to adapt to higher speeds through practice while continuing to race with SCminiGP. SCminiGP who has participated in Fastrack’s events felt they offered the safest environment for growing youth, so the relationship just made sense. Fastrack Riders sees the youth as the future of road racing and hopes to be a part of an educated platform. As a company they pride themselves on encouraging riders to take it to the track. This type of program only better supports their interest in smart and safe riding. Fastrack truly feels this is a chance to support a youth program that will bring more riders into the sport of road racing. Fastrack considers SCminiGP a hard working program who runs a quality environment and it was common sense to help open the doors for their youth. If you want to see these talented kids in action you can catch them at the following dates, but expect a release before the date to inform which riders have been selected. Even though he is only 9 years old, Peter has already proved he has what it takes to be an EDR supported rider. In 2006 he competed in the United States, Canada, Spain and France while riding for the Bianchi Motor Sports factory race team. He earned over 40 race wins and 9 championships, including a CMA sanctioned Canadian national title. In November he finished the 2006 season with three wins at the AMA Southern California Mini Gran Prix presented by Arai. EDR Performance, the Pacific Northwest’s premier motorcycle performance center, has dominated the NW race scene since day one! In our first full year open we won 11 championships, including both OMRRA and WMRRA #1 plates. Eight years later, in 2006 we saw our riders capture yet another 10 championships, WMRRA’s #1 plate, and set 2 track records and three land speed records. We could not have achieved those results without the best talent in the Northwest riding our bikes. Past EDR supported championship winning riders have included: Jake Holden, John Dugan, Dan Lippis and Mike Sullivan. 2007 looks to be an exciting year. “With Eric’s experience with racers like Jake Holden, I think he will provide me a bunch of help. EDR is a really good group with a great shop and I look forward to the great season ahead of us,” commented Lenz who hails from Fort Vancouver, Washington. EDR will be tuning all of Peter’s bikes and providing local trackside support throughout the 2007 season. “I really want 2007 to be a fun year. We have won everything there is to win in the Northwest,” explained Eric Dorn founder of EDR Performance. “I have watched Peter grow up at the track, the little guy was always there when his dad was racing. He is a good kid who has fun off the track and when he puts the helmet on, he is all racer. I love the idea of having him as a part of EDR family and doing everything we can to help further his career in racing!” To learn how we won everything there is to win in the NW, or the performance services we offer at EDR Performance head over to http:// www.edrperformance.com.
