AMERICAN NIC SWENSGARD TO EUROPE IN 2019. JDF RACING WILL ADD SECOND JUNIOR SUPERSPORT RIDER

NIC SWENSGARD TO COMPETE IN THE BENNETTS BRITISH SUPERBIKE JUNIOR SUPERSPORT CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2019 WITH JDF RACING RIDER DEVELOPMENT

American rider Nic Swensgard after a stellar 2018 race season winning four championships with ASMA in Deming, NM will make his way to Europe in 2019 on board a JDF Racing prepped 2018 Kawasaki ZX-R 400 Ninja in the Bennetts BSB Junior Supersport Class. Nic will join teammate Max Lofthouse in the 8-round series. In addition, for 2019 Nic will be riding motocross cross-training and competing in the USA to hone his skillset.

Swensgard said: “I’m super excited to be racing for JDF Racing in BSB Junior Supersport on a Ninja 400. Racing in Europe has always been a dream of mine and I cannot thank JDF Racing enough for giving me this opportunity. I’m looking forward to testing in Spain and getting some seat time with the team. It will be a difficult challenge but I’m ready to learn and have some fun.”

Team Owner, John Davies said: “We used the first year of the Junior Supersport as an assessment of whether we could use this to develop riders further, we have spent our time mainly at Thundersport; which we believed was a conducive atmosphere to develop and stretch riders, I worked with Max Lofthouse and his father John this year and have decided to expand the team.

JDF Racing Rider Development

JDF was formed in 2004 as a vehicle to allow talented young riders with limited means and no inside knowledge of motorcycle racing to compete in the competitive and technically demanding field of Motorcycle Road Racing.

We are extremely pleased to bring Nic into the team and we hope he has a pleasant and competitive race time in the U.K series.”

In essence we aim to place the rider in an advantageous position to allow them to showcase their talent, that will eventually lead them to the top flight of competition within the sport.

The founder of the team, John Davies, has experience as a rider and mentor to young riders over a long period. His experience as a rider was gained as a regular competitor at British Championship level.
