The MotoGP race at Valencia drew a contingent of American riders, including Superbike World Champion Colin Edwards and AMA Superbike Champion Nicky Hayden, who is a long-time racing columnist for Roadracing World and roadracingworld.com.

Other American riders on hand included former AMA 600cc Supersport and Formula Xtreme Champion Kurtis Roberts (visiting along with his AMA Superbike Crew Chief, former racer Dave McGrath); AMA 250cc Grand Prix Champion and 250cc GP wild card Chuck Sorensen, whose crew at Valencia included former AMA Pro Thunder Champion Tom Montano and former WERA Endurance Champion Dave Stanton; and former WERA Endurance Champion Chris Ulrich.

And, of course, regular MotoGP riders, former 500cc World Champion Kenny Roberts as well as former AMA 750cc Supersport and Formula Xtreme Champion John Hopkins.
