From a press release:

Eric Wood has signed with Team Hooters Suzuki to ride the AMA Superbike series in 2004. The team will be campaigning in both Superstock and Superbike aboard new Suzuki GSXR 1000s using Dunlop tires. Wood will be working with long-time friend and tuner Mike Fargnoli, who is acting as crew chief for the Hooters Suzuki Team in 2004, as well as mechanic Kyle Donaghey.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to race in both the super competitive Superstock class and in the premier Superbike class next year,” Wood said of the deal. “Hooters Suzuki has a great outlook for 2004, and I am looking forward to working with Mike Fargnoli. He has a wealth of experience and I have a ton of confidence in his ability to prepare us top shelf machinery for this season.”

The team is set to test during the Formula USA weekend at Daytona on February 28-30. Wood added “I’ve been ice racing all winter and feel that I am in the best shape of my career. The more I watch the fast times at the tire tests, the more motivated I get. I’ve been looking forward to an opportunity like this for several years.”
