Riders Will Get A Single, 40-Minute Practice Before Superstock, FX Qualifying At Daytona

Riders will have one 40-minute practice session before having to qualify for the Superstock and Formula Xtreme races at Daytona next month.

An event schedule mailed to credential holders by AMA Pro Racing shows that Superstock riders have a single practice session on Wednesday, March 3, from 8:50 to 9:30 a.m., before the Group 1 Superstock qualifying session running from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. and a Group 2 Superstock qualifying session running from 1:40 to 2:10 p.m.

Riders will be separated into Group 1 or Group 2 based on their lap times in the undivided single practice session Wednesday morning.

Formula Xtreme entrants face the same situation, with one practice session running from 10:20 to 11:00 a.m. before Group 1 Qualifying from 2:20 to 2:50 p.m. and Group 2 Qualifying from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Superbike riders get a 60-minute practice Wednesday morning, from 11:10 to 12:10, with Group 1 Qualifying running from 3:40 to 4:20 p.m. and Group 2 Qualifying running from 4:30 to 5:10 p.m.

BMW BoxerCup riders get a practice session from 9:40 to 10:10 a.m. Wednesday morning, one qualifying session running from 5:20 to 5:50 p.m. the same day, and another practice Thursday morning with another qualifying session running from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

Supersport riders get a practice session between 8:00 and 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning and another on Thursday morning before Group 1 Qualifying between 11:10 and 11:40 a.m. and Group 2 Qualifying between 11:50 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Thursday.

A second round of Superbike qualifying is scheduled for Thursday afternoon, followed by the 15-lap Formula Xtreme race at 3:40 p.m. Thursday and the 12-lap Superstock race at 4:40 p.m. Thursday.

The Supersport, BoxerCup, and Superbike races will be held Saturday, March 6.

Friday, March 5 is reserved for the Daytona Supercross.
