IRTA Test: 1st day free practice 125cc, Barcelona
23.03.2004

The official IRTA TEST of the 2004 season started in sunny Spain. The 125class opened the first day of practice, having the Spaniard Hector Barbera first. KTM took the 8th result with the Australian Casey Stoner while the Finnish Mika Kallio finished 18th .

Stoner- I’m very happy with the progress we made today. This is the first day we had good weather for testing and we made many improvements

Kallio- We couldn’t find a good setting during the day. I’m sure that tomorrow with the new solutions I tried at the end of the practice I’ll achieve a better result than this one.

Bartol – KTM was the fastest bike on the circuit today: we had the top speed average. We now have to sort out our chassis.
