The AMA Supersport race at California Speedway was red-flagged on lap nine of 17.

At the time the race was stopped, Tommy Hayden was leading, as he had from the start. Hayden was being closely pursued by Yamaha’s Damon Buckmaster and Jamie Hacking and Yoshimura Suzuki’s Ben Spies.

The race was stopped for a crashed bike lying on the track at the exit of the turn seven/eight chicane. The bike belonged to Pedro Valiente, who was seen attempting to ride the bike back to the pits.

The race will be re-started for nine laps.
