AMA Pro Racing “Town Hall” Meeting POstponed

PICKERINGTON, Ohio (July 16, 2004) – A town-hall style meeting that was to be held in conjunction with the Mid-Ohio round of the AMA Chevrolet Superbike Championship has been postponed according to AMA Pro Racing. A new date has not yet been determined.

Open to AMA Pro Racing credential holders, the meeting will provide attendees with the opportunity to make comments or ask questions of representatives from the AMA Pro Racing Board of Directors and staff. It is hoped that the meeting can be rescheduled for one of the two remaining AMA Chevrolet Superbike Championship rounds (Road Atlanta, Sept. 3-5 or Virginia International Raceway, Sept. 17-19.)

Kerry Graeber, AMA Pro Racing Vice President, Director of Communications said the meeting was conceived to facilitate a more open dialogue between the organization and credential holders. “We see this meeting as an opportunity for our board and staff to interact directly with those holding an AMA Pro Racing hard card (credential),” said Graeber. “Over the past couple of years, we’ve dramatically strengthened our communications efforts and this is an extension of that effort.”

Scheduling conflicts among key participants is the reason the meeting is being rescheduled according to Graeber.

The AMA Pro Racing Board of Directors is comprised of the following: P.J. Harvey (Chairman), Cary Agajanian, Ray Blank, Mike Buckley, Paul Dean, Jeff Nash, Rob Rasor, Kevin Schwantz, John Ulrich and Roger Werner, Jr.

Graeber said an announcement will be made as soon as a new date is determined.
