Suzuki, Distributors Donate To Tsunami Relief Funds

SUZUKI DONATE TO EARTHQUAKE FUND

Suzuki Motor Company has joined many leading international companies in announcing that it has made a donation to help victims of the powerful earthquake and tsunamis that struck southern Asia earlier this week.

Suzuki has production bases within the devastated area in India and Indonesia, and the parent company will donate 10 million yen ($95,210.90) through the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Suzuki’s Indian subsidiary Maruti Udyog Ltd. will also donate about 25 million yen ($238,027.25) along with relief supplies.

Another Indian subsidiary and a Thai subsidiary will give 2.3 million yen ($21,898.50) and 2.8 million yen ($26,659.05), respectively.
