Thursday May 5 will be the first time for a motorcycle group on the new Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point Raceway. The Shenandoah features no less than 15 turns with two sections of straight track almost a half mile each and a Karussel turn resembling the bowl at Nurburgring! This track is not for the weak. It is very challenging and technical with uphills, downhills, three sets of esses, and it will make you think and work. When you get the hang of it, it will be very satisfying. Overall length is just under two miles. I have been in meetings with Mr. Bill Scott, owner of Summit Point Raceway, and a lot of work has been put into making this track user-friendly. Walls have been moved back, foam safety bales for motorcycles and karts have been purchased and will be deployed where needed. I have spoken with other groups who will be using the Shenandoah and we are all working toward the common goal of a fun and safe racetrack. Tell your friends and your boss that you are taking off on Thursday May 5 to try out the new Shenandoah track. Sport bike riders along with racers are welcome to all Motorcycle Excitement Days. Take it to the track if you want to go fast safely. No speeding tickets, No hassles, and a whole lot of fun! For more info, please contact me at [email protected] or phone 301-933-2599. Other dates for Motorcycle Excitement Days are Thursday August 4 on the Summit Point circuit and Friday September 23, and Monday October 10 on the Shenandoah.
