Tracy, CA: Citing lack of evidence, the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office has dismissed all charges against Tony Meiring. Meiring has no comment on the entire episode other than to say that he is relieved to have his focus back on racing. Says Meiring, “The Corona Extra Racing Suzuki team has been great through all of this. I also have the greatest fans, friends and family that any racer could possibly hope for. I am looking forward to getting back aboard the Corona Extra Racing Suzuki and showing them how much their support has meant to me.” Tony will be getting his chance when round 6 of the AMA Super Bike Series comes to Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin June 5, 2005.
