Via an e-mail from Jerry Wood: Just a reminder that we will have the Auction to benefit Jim’s (Lester) kids on Saturday night (6-11) after trophies, about 7PM. The auction will be in the North Garage #7 in the infield at NHIS. John Owens will donate a never published print of the “California Hot Rod” Ducati 750ss that won the Daytona Superbike race in 1977 signed by Cook Neilson. This is a rare and valuable piece of motorcycle racing history. Cook was editor of Cycle Magazine, Phil Shilling and Cook built the bike as a project and beat the factories. I was there and it was a real moment.
