Eurospeedway Lausitzring A great challenge for Frankie and Max The German race track is not new on the SBK schedule. In 2002 and 2003 it gave already hospitality to the World Superbike Championship. The circuit is rather new and state of the art. Next weekend (09/11 September) the 10th round of the Championship takes place at Lausitzring near Berlin/Dresden. For Max Neukirchner this will be a home game. A superb event for his fans but also a great challenge for Frankie Chili and Max. In 2002 Max had his last race at Lausitzring. Frankie Chili took part to all the Superbike races at the circuit during the last years and achieved always top ten positions. Tatu Lauslehto/Supersport will ride the first on the German race track. At Lausitzring German Steve Mizera joins the Klaffi Honda Team. He will ride a Klaffi Klaffi Honda CBR 600 RR in the Supersport race. Max Neukirchner: “žIn 2002 it was the last time I had a race at Lausitzring. In this 250cc heat I finished third. The Eurospeedway is a special track. I like the long turns very much. But when it rains the track is absolutely difficult. The asphalt becomes immediately slippery and then the whole game is dangerous. The Lausitzring is only two hours away from my home town and I’m looking forward to meet all my German fans. I hope to finish top ten again because I don’t want to disappoint my fans. By the way: A real Miss will be my umbrella girl in the grid and I can’t wait to meet her!” Frankie Chili: “žAt Lausitzring I finished always top ten. The track is not so nice for me but it is okay. It is only a pity that we had no tests there before. After the results at Assen we give now our all to achieve some better positions again.” Tatu Lauslehto: “žFor me the Eurospeedway is new race track. Many of my competitors like it very much. But I know also that they are afraid of it when it is wet. So wait and see what will happen. I definitively know that my Klaffi Honda CBR 600 RR is really perfect now and I want achieve a top ten position in the race at Lausitzring.” Steve Mizera: “ž I like all the circuits in the whole world. I have no special preference but the Eurospeedway is very close to my home town Dresden. So a lot of fans will be there. It is great to ride a Klaffi Honda in Supersport’s World Championship. I’m looking forward to the race!” TV Coverage – Eurosport, Sunday, 11.09.2005 12.oo Superbike I 13.oo Supersport 17.3o Superbike II Steve Mizera Born: 05.08.1975 Nationality: German Marital status: single Home town: Dresden Hobbies: skiing, motocross, cycling, fitness, cooking, reading Staring number at Lausitzring: 76 2000 5.
