AMA PRO RACING RESCHEDULES CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS BANQUET PICKERINGTON, Ohio (Sept. 13, 2005) AMA Pro Racing announced today that the AMA Pro Racing Championship Awards Banquet, scheduled to be held on Nov., 19, 2005 at Paris Las Vegas, will now be held the next day, Sunday, Nov. 20. The AMA Pro Racing Championship Awards Banquet honors the leading professional riders who have competed in AMA Motocross, Supercross, Superbike, Flat Track, Supermoto and Hillclimb. According to Kerry Graeber, AMA Pro Racing Vice President, Director of Communications, the change was made in order to accommodate the AMA-sanctioned Maxxis EnduroCross event which will be held on Saturday at the Orleans Arena. “By moving our banquet to Sunday evening, we cap off an entire weekend of motorcycle related activities, dubbed the ‘AMA Las Vegas Invasion’,” said Graeber. “The AMA Sports Award Banquet, where the nation’s top amateur riders are honored kicks off the weekend on Friday at the Orleans Hotel and Casino, the action continues on Saturday with the AMA Maxxis EnduroCross event and then we’ll culminate the weekend with our AMA Pro Racing Championship Awards Banquet. We are happy to make this change to accommodate everyone’s needs.” For more information or to purchase tickets to the AMA Pro Racing Championship Awards Banquet, please visit www.amaproracing.com.
