Traxxion Dynamics Seals Deal With Factory Yamaha World Supersport Team Traxxion Dynamics has been contracted to provide suspension support for Yamaha Europe’s newest factory team. Team Biker-Daze-Yamaha-Moto 1 will compete in the World Supersport Series with full factory support and will field riders Didier Van Keymuelen from Belgium and Canadian “young gun” Chris Peris. Team Owner Renaud Lemarque invited Peris to a one-off ride in Misano last year, and Peris requested to bring Traxxion’s President, Max McAllister (also Peris’AMA suspension tuner) along for the trip. McAllister carried along a set of Traxxion’s AK-20 Axxion Cartridges, and a Penske Racing Shock to show Lemarque, and he was instantly impressed with the parts. Lemarque commented, “The Traxxion and Penske parts are of such high quality, it is obvious just how serious these companies are to compete against Ohlins. I am quite confident that we will be able to develop a distinct advantage using these components.” Lemarque has hired McAllister to be on hand to personally tune the team’s chassis, and has arranged for Traxxion to have an on-site suspension support truck at all European rounds. The Team will be the first to compete anywhere in the world with Traxxion’s supersport legal Axxion Gas Cartridge System. The team will test in Valencia February 7th and 8th using Traxxion’s currently available AK-20 kits. Subsequently, McAllister has arranged a full shock program with Penske Racing Shocks via their Motorcycle Department Manager, Tim Godshall. Biker Daze-Yamaha-Moto 1 will be the only team in the WSB/WSS paddock using the Traxxion Dynamics/Penske components. “It’s a good sort of David and Goliath situation to compete in this arena”¦” commented McAllister. “Clearly, over 90% of the paddock is fitted with Ohlins components, and they are by far the biggest company with the most resources and experience in that paddock. Mr. Lemarque has issued a challenge to my company, and I have gladly accepted the opportunity he has created for us. “Traxxion Dynamics was a newcomer in America a few years back, and we have inarguably become a dominant force on the US road racing scene. With our new Axxion Gas Cartridges, we will have a weapon our competitors don’t. Couple that with top-shelf Penske Racing Shocks, which I firmly believe are superior in every way, and I am more than confident we will have the best-handling motorcycles in the paddock. I have waited a long time to be able to prove just how good our components are, and while the opportunity has never presented itself with an American factory team, going to compete with the World guys is just fine with me. Traxxion and Penske are ready.”
