Ford Quality Checked Sponsors Calendar To Benefit Riders Of The 2006 AMA Flat Track Championship Ford Quality Checked Certified Pre-Owned program’s 2006/’07 promotional flat track series calendar giveaway features advertising proceeds earmarked for additional Air Fence and Aid to Injured Riders (AIR) fund ANN ARBOR, Mich., (Feb. 7, 2006) In a ‘piece of mind promise’ to further assist the racers it backs on the AMA Flat Track Championship tour, the Ford Quality Checked Certified Pre-owned program has put together a beautifully photographed, action-packed 2006-’07 flat track calendar featuring all the stars of the AMA Flat Track Championship series tour. The calendar, available for free to those fans attending the 2006 AMA Flat Track Championship rounds (which get underway on March 9th at Municipal Stadium in Daytona Beach, Fla.), features advertising from flat track-friendly sponsors in which ALL of the proceeds will go directly to purchase more protective Air Fence-brand track barriers, as-well-as providing money to the Aid to Injured Riders (AID) fund. “The Ford Quality Checked team’s effort put into this fan-friendly collectable flat track calendar is entirely intended to assist the racers,” said Mike Dennis, Ford’s Quality Checked Certified Pre-Owned Program Manager. “We’ve been involved with the AMA’s Flat Track Championship in one way or another for some time now and we are pleased that we can help in way that will benefit both fans and riders beginning March 9th in Daytona.” The Ford Quality Checked-sponsored AMA Flat Track Championship benefit calendar comes on the heels of the sizable 2005 Ford Quality Checked Air Fence-purchase grant to the Illinois Motorcyle Dealers Association (IMDA). A not-for-profit trade association for the Illinois motorcycle dealers which promotes a number of the Ford QC/AMA Flat Track Championship events, the IMDA has been known for including utilizing existing Air Fence modules (on loan from the AMA) while also providing additional safety measures above and beyond that which the rules dictate. “This benefit flat track calendar that the Ford Quality Checked program is putting together is just another way of them showing their true passion for the sport of flat track,” said the Tommra Luparell, Executive Director of the IMDA. “The Ford Quality Checked program proved last year that they’re not just a sponsor that throws money at race series just to be involved. They’ve taken an active approach to be an integral part of this series which has definitely been embraced by both fans and racers alike.” Persons wishing to get involved with the Ford Quality Checked-sponsored AMA Flat Track Championship benefit calendar can contact iCMS, Inc.’s Duane Maladecki at (248) 619-1600. More on Air Fence: According to its website, Airfence Safety Systems is an Australian-based, global company committed to providing the highest quality, affordable and practical safety systems for motor (and other) sports, particularly motorcycle racing.
