Z1 Racing and Andrew Nelson are united again and will be campaigning the Yamaha R6 and R1 in the Canadian Superbike championship. Andrew Nelson will return to Z1 Racing since ’03 after being on factory Honda’s for the past two seasons. Zaid Saleemi said, ” Yamaha has some very exciting motorcycles in the proven R1 and the new R6. We are very happy to work with and represent Yamaha. Our team is solid, Yamaha have the bikes to beat, and we have the rider to take us to the top of tthe box”. Nelson is confident, “New bikes to me, new tires for all of us, but Zaid and Yamaha know what it takes and I believe in them. I don’t want just race wins anymore, it’s the #1 plate were both after and with the support Yamaha has shown, I know we have the right mix for a championship”. The team is expected to contest several US rounds as a preseason testing.
