FIM Rider Training Conference Scheduled For Southern California This Month

2006 Experienced Rider Training Symposium & International Motorcycle Safety Conference Symposium sur les Cours de Perfectionnement & Conférence Internationale sur la Sécurité Motocycliste 2006 The FIM’s Commission for Mobility, Transport, Road Safety & Public Policy, in partnership with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), is organising a new Experienced Rider Training Symposium which will be held in the framework of the International Motorcycle Safety Conference in Long Beach, California (USA) in the last week of March. This event will gather together more than 150 participants from 18 countries within North America, Europe, Australia and Asia, and will take place according to the following programme: 27 March Visit to the Honda Rider Education Centre in Colton with possibilities of observing and taking part in various aspects of MSF training 28, 29 & 30 March International Motorcycle Safety Conference “The Human Element” at the Hyatt Hotel with, among others, presentations on motorcycle accidents (MAIDS Study in particular), braking, rider training programmes, safety programmes, protective clothing 31 March Riding demonstrations and practical riding at the Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in Long Beach Throughout the conference there will be a “training marketplace” where the rider trainers could display their material and network with their colleagues from around the world.
