The 2006 Team Pro-Motion GP Moto Cup Racing Series has provided some of the most exciting racing we had ever seen. The points batter in the GP Moto Class was red hot going into the last round at Summit Point Raceway, with the top two contenders separated by 1 point and the next two competitors separated by 1 point as well. Anticipation was high. Antal Halasz, defending champion in the GP Moto class, was 1 point ahead of Martin Lazor coming into to the race. Halasz Grabbed the lead right off the start and lead from start to finish. Lazor gave his best effort, closing in on Halasz in the later stages, but ultimately finished 3rd as the race ended 1 lap early on a red flag incident. Lucas Frkous, who already clinched the GP Unlimited championship, rode a 600 on the day and finished 2nd. Further down the field, Artie Meeker had a 1 point lead over Matt Cranston for 3rd place in the series, and their battle was every bit as intense as the battle for the lead. The race was close for the first half of the race, but Meeker managed to gap Cranston slightly after the halfway point and nursed to a 4th place finish while Cranston held off all other competition and finished a close 5th. In GP Unlimited, 2nd place for the championship is still undecided, as early championship leader Max Bronisevsky, who broke both of his collarbones on separate occasions this year, came back for the last race to try to fend off late comer Ivan Milan for the runner up position in the series. Milan knew he had to win the race and hope Bronisevsky finish further down the field. Milan lead off the start and worked hard to get away, but Bronisevsky rode a great race and did not let anyone get between the two, and finished 2nd after Milan, therefore earning the second place in the series while Milan finished the season third. The GP Moto Lite Championship was decided at the last GP Moto Premier racing event, with William Reyes being crowned the champion and John Morgan and Sherry Morgan finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. The winners were treated to a fun filled podium ceremony, as trophies and prizes were handed out and champagne was sprayed. It was the best way to cap off a great season of racing for everyone involved.
