Alternative Energies First meeting of the working group Following the decision of the FIM Management Council taken during the Conference Meetings, a working group to study alternative energies to fossil fuels was created, under the direction of FIM Vice-President Robert Rasor (USA). The following FIM delegates are members of this working group: Messrs. Oriol Puig Bulto (SPA, President of the International Technical Panel), Anders Minken (NOR, Vice-President of the Trial Commission), Silvio Manicardi (ITA, member of the Commission for Mobility, Transport, Road Safety and Public Policy), Roland Berger (AUT, Member of the International Technical Panel) and Karl-Friedrich Ziegahn (GER, member of the International Environmental Commission). The first meeting of the group was held at the FIM headquarters on May 11. The subjects treated were essentially concerning a definition of alternative energies that would be suitable for motorcycling, and the establishment of a working plan, including short, mid and long term objectives. The FIM Management Council, during their meeting in June in Geneva, Switzerland, will consider the working group’s initial recommendations.
