Team Vesrah Brakes wins 12 hours of Gears 12 Hours of Gears Wisconsin Endurance Mountain Bike Series (WEMS) www.wemsseries.com Team Vesrah Brakes won the 12-hour Open 4-man team competition in the first WEMS race of the 2007 series, held May 26 in Kewaskum, Wisconsin. The team finished more than a lap ahead of the closest team in the long and grueling race, logging 163.2 miles with an average speed of 13.64 mph, and a total of 14,994 ft of elevation gained. This team was formed to promote Vesrah Bicycle Disc Brake pads now distributed by Trek Components Group; the team consisted of Mark Junge (current and 5-time WERA National Endurance Champion with Team Vesrah Suzuki), Ken Melville (former WERA National Endurance Class Champion), Mike Laney (former motorcycle road racer), along with mountain bike racer Mark McCrimmin.
