Jamie Hacking became a United States citizen with a swearing in ceremony yesterday in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hacking, 36, was born in Lancaster, England. He has lived in America since he was a child but had never got around to becoming a U.S. citizen until now. The two-time AMA Supersport Champion started the naturalization process about one year ago, he told Roadracingworld.com, and will now carry dual British and U.S. citizenships. “I’ve been meaning to do it, but I just never got around to it,” said Hacking. “It’s gonna be hard to give up my green card, but I’m actually pretty excited about it.”
