Robert Dunlop, 47, died from injuries he sustained in a crash during practice Thursday at the North West 200, a popular racing event held on closed-off public roads in Ireland, according to the BBC. Dunlop, the brother of the late Joey Dunlop, an Isle of Man TT racing legend who was killed in a racing incident in 2000, was riding a 250cc GP bike when it seized. He was thrown from his bike and then hit by another rider, according to a third racer who witnessed the accident and was quoted by the BBC.
