LCR, HONDA AND DE PUNIET RENEW AGREEMENT FOR THE 2009 SEASON Indianapolis, 14 September 2008: LCR Honda MotoGP Team is pleased to announce its renewed cooperation with the French rider Randy de Puniet and Honda HRC for the 2009 MotoGP World Championship. The two-year contract with De Puniet for the 2008 and 2009 seasons has been set at the end of 2007 season and with the recent confirmation that Honda HRC will supply the team with an RC212V for 2009 (for the third year), the LCR Team is proud to announce it has finalised our project for the next world championship. Lucio Cecchinello: Team Manager “I think that Randy and Honda have a big potential. Our aim was to continue with Randy and thanks to Honda HRC support we will cooperate together for next season as well. Besides I am happy to say that we have retained all our present team staff for our 2009 project with Randy.” Kosuke Yasutake: Managing Director HRC. “We are very pleased to continue our association with the LCR Honda team,” said HRC Managing Director Kosuke Yasutake. “LCR is a very well managed team with excelent technical and software staff, their RC212V is always very well prepared. We wish them luck in the 2009 season.” Randy De Puniet: Rider “The 2009 season will be my fourth year in the MotoGP class; Honda is working hard to improve the RCV machine and the LCR Team is very professional and they are like a family for me. We have got the potential to make special results and we will do our best to achieve important goals”.
