Cupertino, CA – To enhance the already exclusive experience of Ducati ownership, Ducati North America has initiated a program with Öhlins USA to train its technicians in the service of components and science of suspension setup. Öhlins USA Road Race Manager Mike “Thermosman” Fitzgerald said, “The new Ducati training program, which provides their dealer technicians with the highest level of suspension training, shows the brand’s commitment to its customers. Now every Öhlins equipped Ducati motorcycle can be reviewed by an Öhlin’s trained Ducati technician to custom fit the suspension to the exact needs of the rider. I’m certain that enthusiasts will immediately recognize the increased feedback and confidence from their meticulously prepared bikes. The Ducati/ Öhlins Level 3 specialized training, exemplifies Ducati’s devotion to the highest level of customer satisfaction. The first class of eight Ducati technicians completed their initial training by suspension specialist Fitzgerald at the Hendersonville, North Carolina headquarters of Öhlins USA, and have returned to their dealerships able to adjust each Ducati to the needs, riding abilities, and size and weight of each enthusiast. The objective of this highest level of training for Ducati technicians is to maximize the ownership experience by personalizing set-up to owner’s individual requirements of ride height, spring rates, and preload and damping settings. Ducati technicians will now also be able to service suspension components on site. As training continues, technicians will become accomplished in all the latest in dynamic chassis set up. “Our goal is to assist Ducati NA in enriching every customer’s enjoyment and riding experience,” Fitzgerald continued. “Sharing our proven racetrack lessons with Ducati’s performance riders is a positive for all of us. Nothing makes motorcycling more fun than a great handling machine.”
