Australian Supersport Racer Greedy Killed During Race In Tasmania

Motorcycling Australia (MA) can confirm that Australian Supersport rider Judd Greedy has died following an incident which took place at the second round of the 2009 Australian Superbike Championship in Tasmania on Sunday morning. Greedy was immediately attended to by medical personnel but sustained fatal injuries in the incident. Greedy was leading the first Supersport race on Sunday when he lost control of his bike and fell onto the track. Though several of the riders directly behind Greedy managed to pass, two riders further behind in the field were unable to avoid contact. An independent investigation is currently underway and MA will release any further information as it comes to hand via the MA website (www.ma.org.au). Motorcycling Australia offers its sincerest condolences to the Greedy family and those affected within the motorcycling community.
