American Motorcyclist Association Director of Racing Joe Bromley traveled to the DMG (AMA Pro Racing) awards banquet in Atlantic City Monday night to present AMA Pro #1 plates to the series Champions. As AMA President Rob Dingman explained in a column published in the May 2008 issue of American Motorcyclist magazine, under terms of the deal selling AMA Pro Racing to Daytona Motorsports Group (DMG), “AMA will continue to crown its Pro Champions and award No. 1 plates annually.” But Bromley was not included in the evening’s on-stage activities and was not even introduced to the crowd, while DMG partners David Atlas and Tom Bledsoe were introduced.
