Macedon, NY – Despite injury sustained in an October accident at Daytona International Speedway, Kyle Wyman is back on two wheels and pushing closer to a full recovery. The New Yorker recently got out on a CRF450 ice bike to start turning a throttle again. “It feels great to be back on a bike. Luckily the timing of my accident at the last race of the year has allowed to put 100 percent of my focus in getting back in shape during the offseason, and I’m really looking forward to getting a fresh start in 2010,” said Kyle, who was the victim of a brake failure during a practice session for the AMA Pro Supersport Shootout in the fall, putting him in the hospital for 17 nights in Orlando, Fla. with a broken leg. Wyman recently started training with an abbreviated version of the CrossFit program to jump-start his recovery. “I’m really grateful to have some awesome people behind me helping me get my leg back in shape. My physical therapist Clarke Brown and Greg Hammond from Concept2 pointed me towards CrossFit as the best program for me to get into. My trainer is Joe Celso, he’s a great guy and seems to have a good handle on how to deal with my leg. Things have really progressed since I started, and I feel I’ll be in even better shape than I was last year when it comes time to get back out there.” Wyman will compete in select AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike rounds in 2010, starting at Road Atlanta. Kyle’s brothers, Travis and Cody, will contest the AMA Pro Supersport East series making WBR the only 3-brother race team in AMA Pro Road Racing competition. About Wyman Brothers Racing Wyman Brothers Racing (WBR) is a family based race team out of Macedon, NY consisting of three brothers: Kyle, Travis, and Cody Wyman.
