Moto3 World Championship Wild Card Entries Will Be Allowed Two Engines Per Event

FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Decision of the Grand Prix Commission On the 26th April 2012 the Grand Prix Commission, composed of Messrs. Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna, Chairman), Ignacio Verneda (FIM Executive Director, Sport), Herve Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA), via an electronic meeting, unanimously approved the following new regulation proposed by the Technical Director. The new regulation will be effective immediately. 2.3.7. Engine Durability 2. Moto3 Class 1) c) Each wild card entry is allowed two engines per event for his exclusive use. The new regulation has been introduced to address an omission in the current rules concerning the engine life regulations for the Moto3 class. Previously limits on the number of engines that may be used only applied to contracted entries.
