Archie McDonald earned pole position during FIM Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup qualifying Saturday afternoon at Silverstone Circuit, in England. Riding his Joe Rascal Racing Harley-Davidson on Dunlop control tires, McDonald covered the 3.67-mile (5.90 km) road course in 2:08.832, topping the field of 11 riders.

Oscar Gutierrez was the best of the rest with a 2:09.478 on his Niti Racing Harley-Davidson and home hero Bradley Smith got third with a lap time of 2:09.615 on his ParkinGO Team Harley-Davidson.

Riding for Saddlemen Racing Harley-Davidson, American teammates Max Toth (2:19.727), Jake Lewis (2:11.949) and Travis Wyman (2:12.159) finished 6th, 7th, and 11th respectively.
