There are currently no deals in place for the 2013 FIM MotoGP or 2013 FIM Superbike World Championships to be broadcast on SPEED Channel. “[W]e expect to have MotoGP (Moto2 and Moto3) on the network in 2013, possibly announcing a new multi-year deal shortly,” SPEED Vice President of Media Relations Erik Arneson wrote in an e-mail to Roadracingworld.com on January 28. “And while communication remains open with Dorna regarding WSBK, there is no deal in place yet for 2013.” Contacted on February 12 to check for any changes to the situation, Arneson wrote in an e-mail that he had no new developments to report. The 2013 FIM MotoGP World Championship begins April 5-7 at Losail International Circuit, in Qatar. The 2013 FIM Superbike World Championship begins February 22-24 just over one week from today — at Phillip Island, in Australia.
