Round 2 of the 2026 NEMRR season ran at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on May 30-31. The forecast was originally excellent, but turned cold and rainy as the weekend approached. Races were greeted with 39-degree rain on Saturday morning, and only a handful of riders rolled out for practice. As the afternoon cleared, the track began to dry, and the majority of the races were run in nice conditions, with the exception of a small river flowing across turn one all day, which added some extra spice into the mix for the start of each race. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed and the only real effect of the wet area were some slower lap times than normal.

The dominant Expert performance of the weekend came from Adam Guyer, who racked up 7 class wins across GTL, Lightweight Superbike, Lightweight Grand Prix, Heavyweight Streetfighter, Thunderbike, Supertwins Combined, and Heavyweight Superbike. Guyer rides out of the Seacoast Sport Cycle garage and split his time between his trusted Aprilia RS660 and Ducati Srteetfighter V2.

The feature race of the weekend, the Seacoast Sport Cycle / Dunlop Dash for Cash, delivered the storyline of the weekend. Eric Wood took the win on his Ducati Panigale V2 crossing the line 8.3 seconds ahead of the Yamaha R6 of Jacob Crossman. Crossman overcame a rought start and clawed his way from 6th place on the first lap to squeeze by Guyer one lap from the end to secure his best Dash for Cash finish of the season so far.

Wood noted “This was the first ride on the V2 this year – we’ve got a new engine built by Seacoast and a new chassis link developed together by Woodcraft and Adrenaline Engineering, and things are coming together well. I knew those guys were back there charging and wanted to set a good pace while not taking too much risk rolling through the river in turn one – which in the end wasn’t a big deal. We’re excited for the classic at NEMRR round 3 in June and look forward to all the local NEMRR riders putting on a great showing in front of a big home crowd”

In addition to the Dash, Eric Wood added wins in Formula 40 Unlimited, Unlimited Grand Prix, and Unlimited Superbike for a total of 4 class wins on the weekend. Wood’s only defeat of the weekend came at the end of the day on Sunday, when the rain returned and Guyer again showcased his superb rain riding skills in taking the win in Heavyweight Superbike.

Other multi-win Experts on the weekend included Adam’s father, veteran racer Brett Guyer (Formula 50 Lightweight and Formula 40 Lightweight), and young upstart and first time expert racer Matthew Sweeney (Moto 3 and 500 Superbike).

The standout of the Amateur ranks was Christopher Girard, who collected 3 class wins in the lightweight division classes of Super Singles, Ultra-lightweight Superbike, and Formula 40 Lightweight. Conrad Bastable matched the pace with 3 Amateur wins (GTO, Heavyweight Superbike, and Unlimited Superbike).

The Novice ranks featured a strong performance from Matt Correia, who swept 3 races — Unlimited Grand Prix A, Middleweight Grand Prix A, and Middleweight Grand Prix C. Correia not only dominated on track but he also ran well under the advancement time threshold, signaling his final weekend in the Novice ranks as he advances to Amatuer for round 3. Jason Neuman added 2 more Novice wins (Lightweight Grand Prix B and Lightweight Grand Prix C).

In Super Street, Derek Wood took SS Lightweight A, SS Lightweight, and SS Lightweight B, while Anthony Cersosimo took SS Unlimited A and SS Unlimited B. As always, the NEMRR Super Street class is the perfect low-pressure entry into road racing, giving track-day prepared riders the chance to mix it up on the same weekend as the rest of the paddock.
