COTA BENEFIT FOR INJURED WERA AND CMRA RIDERS ZAC CHAPMAN AND JON BROOM RideSmart Motorcycle School, based in Austin, Texas, announced today that they were organizing a second benefit raffle for injured riders Zac Chapman and Jon Broom. Last year, the first raffle raised over $2,000. On August 8, 2009, WERA and CMRA racer Zac Chapman crashed at Virginia International Raceway and suffered a head injury. A few short weeks later, on September 5, 2009 CMRA racer Jon Broom crashed at MSR-Cresson and also suffered a head injury. Both Zac and Jon are supporters of RideSmart Motorcycle School and had attended many trackdays over the years. RideSmart wants to help with the enormous medical costs that Zac and Jon’s families have incurred over the last several years and will continue to incur. RideSmart has pledged to give away a Circuit of The Americas trackday for June 2, 2013, and two local trackdays as second and third prizes. RideSmart will give 100% of all monies collected to Zac and Jon, split evenly. For more information, go to the RideSmart website at http://www.ridesmart.info , then click on the “Benefits” menu on the left, then “Zac and Jon Benefit Raffle”.
