SHORAI BATTERIES NAMES PHUC LAM AS NEW MARKETING MANAGER — Lam to Manage Shorai’s Brand Awareness — SUNNYVALE, Calif., (June 19, 2013) – Shorai Inc., a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of prismatic cell, lithium iron phosphate power sports batteries, today announced a promotion within its corporate team, naming Phuc Lam as the company’s Marketing Manager. Lam’s new role at Shorai will include creative concept design and approval for print and digital media, social media marketing, on-site media relations for industry events, development of new website design and brand expansion, as well as management of sponsorship opportunities for the company. “Phuc Lam has proven himself an integral part of the Shorai team for and we are thrilled to promote him to Marketing Manager,” said Kevin Riley, Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Shorai. “His hard work and dedication to the company has helped us to research and connect to our expanding market share and we believe Lam’s ability to promote Shorai to our customers across all media platforms will be a huge strength to the marketing department and the company as a whole.” “Shorai offers a unique and valuable product to a very traditional marketplace and within my new role of Marketing Manager, I plan to help build Shorai’s brand awareness with an influx of new creative branding concepts and campaigns to educate consumers,” said Phuc Lam, Marketing Manager for Shorai. “I look forward to continue building the Shorai brand with new ideas and endeavors.” Lam is an avid rider and leverages his personal interest in the motorcycle industry to supplement his customer relations and brand building roles at Shorai. He previously acted as a parts manager at a large motorcycle dealership in Northern California where he also supported the dealership’s supercross team as a parts coordinator. Lam’s enthusiasm in motorcycles led to co-founding an off-road racing company, NCO Racing (Northern California Off-Road Racing), to help promote local off-road type races in the Northern California region. Prior to Shorai, Lam acted as a consultant for an email marketing company, AdStack, a small startup company performing real time digital content optimization for clients including Wal Mart, Nordstrom, New Egg, Publishers Clearing House and Motorcycle Superstore. Lam holds a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University.
