Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha’s Bobby Fong led a rain-shortened session on Friday to take the MotoAmerica Superbike provisional pole at VIRginia International Raceway. Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Sean Dylan Kelly was second, ahead of Warhorse HSBK Ducati’s Josh Herrin, Tytlers Cycle Racing BMW’s Cameron Beaubier, and Attack’s Jake Gagne. The top five were separated by 0.571 seconds. The session was cut 11:28 short by a torrential downpour, and MotoAmerica said it would add 10 minutes to the Superbike Q2 session scheduled for Saturday.
