A photograph can capture a moment, but a painting can capture an emotion. Alex Wakefield, from Joliet, Illinois, is a fine artist specializing in motorsports. His body of work encapsulates the emotions of racing. While he’s a fan of both two-wheel and four-wheel motorsports, he is embarking on a national tour of his motorcycle art. After a successful launch at Dainese’s D-Store Chicago, Alex will bring his unique show, “The Art of D|Termination,” to D-Store Orange County, California, in a show coinciding with the MotoGP weekend at Indianapolis. The exhibit features a variety of legendary motorcycle personalities that have utilized the style and protection Dainese is famous for. Complementing Wakefield’s artwork will be the MotoGP race viewing party at noon on Sunday Aug. 18th at D-Store Orange County. Alex will be creating LIVE in-store during the event with chalk pastels. Original artwork is available for purchase as well as select reproduction prints. Refreshments will be available. See Alex Wakefield’s art at Facebook.com/pages/orbit-27-creative.
