FIM Releases Provisional 2014 Endurance World Championship Calendar

2014 FIM Endurance World Championship Five or Six Events on the Provisional Calendar Following a majestic end to the 2013 Season with the 24 Hours Motorcycling Race at Le Mans, the FIM is pleased to announce the calendar for the upcoming FIM Endurance World Championship with five or six events between April and September 2014. Some dates have already been confirmed. The two French 24-Hour races will again frame the Season. The Bol d’Or will raise the curtain on 26 and 27 April and the Le Mans 24 Hours will close the 2014 World Endurance season on 20 and 21 September. The Suzuka 8 Hours, which is resaved for teams in Formula EWC, is scheduled to take place in Japan on Sunday 27 July and the 8 Hours of Oschersleben in Germany on 16 August. Plans to stage a new 6 Hour event on the Navarra Circuit in Northern Spain, near Pamplona, are close to being finalised. This race could take place in early June. The date will be chosen to fit in with the calendars of the other World Championships and the Spanish Championship. Discussions are also well under way with other circuits that could join the FIM Endurance World Championship in 2014.
