Energica Ego Unveiled At EICMA Show, In Milan

Energica Ego, the official launch at Eicma 2013! Energica thrilled and conquered the audiences today at the EICMA 71st International Motorcycle Exhibition (November 7th – 10th, Milan). The CRP Group (Hall 10 Booth H77) launched the first model of Energica, the EGO. Thanks to its Pearl White Matt design, its 195 Nm of torque and its new hawk like profile, the green superbike made by CRP won over many of the two wheels endothermic lovers. Energica Ego is equipped with a PMAC synchronous motor with permanent magnets and oil cooled with a power of 100Kw and a torque of 195 Nm from 0 rpm to 4700 rpm. The green superbike has a range of 150 km at a speed of 80 km/h. The batteries can be recharged within 3,5 hours with a normal electrical outlet or to 80% of capacity in less than 30 minutes with direct current charge. The battery has a nominal capacity of 11.7 kWh. The braking system is by Brembo and the ABS system is by Bosch. The ABS system is standard equipment and is a year in advanced of the incoming UE regulations for mandatory ABS. On Energica EGO advanced ABS system will be standard equipment. Energica at Eicma is also supported by the well known companies Enel, Efacec, Cobo and Phoenix Contact, which will have a series of events at the CRP booth for developing the knowledge of sustainable mobility. These events will be held from November 7th to 10th at 11.30 am | 2.30 pm | 4.30 pm (HALL 10 BOOTH H77). During the events the visitors will have the opportunity to admire Enel and Efacec charging stations (exhibited at CRP booth) and become familiar with their technology. Moreover visitors will see live demonstration of the AC and DC recharging procedures with Energica Ego’s plug / Inlet CCS developed by Phoenix Contact E-Mobility GmbH company. Energica, also in close collaboration with Vodafone Italia, presented at Eicma a worldwide control platform aimed at improving the security and services levels offered to our Energica Ego customers. This communication platform will be based on the standard Bluetooth and UMTS/GPRS. The vehicle will be able to offer services of connectivity “short range” and “long range”. – “short range” connectivity: Bluetooth 3.0 module, range 100m; – “long range” connectivity: LTE/UMTS/GPRS module, communication SMS, TCP/IP, FTP, SOCKET,HTTP. Finally, the CRP Group brought to Eicma a version of the Energica Ego without fairing. This model is built with 3D printing and Windform materials.
