BROOKES AND BRIDEWELL READY TO RESUME MCE BSB ACTION AT SNETTERTON

Milwaukee Yamaha are aiming to carry their winning momentum from the previous round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship to Snetterton in Norfolk this weekend as Josh Brookes and Tommy Bridewell prepare to recommence the season.

Brookes claimed his first win of the season last time out for the team and after recent performances on the roads, the Australian is hunting a winning return to the MCE BSB Championship. Brookes currently lies second in the overall standings ahead of this weekend but is tenacious about returning to the podium again in Norfolk.

Bridewell meanwhile is ready to get back onboard the Milwaukee Yamaha after a five week break and is prepared to push hard to build on his fourth place finish from Oulton Park to edge closer to his first podium finish of the season.

Brookes said: “The Milwaukee Yamaha has been good at every circuit we have been to this season so I am feeling confident. If we can continue the way we have then we should be searching for wins again this weekend. Some of the other teams have tested at Snetterton but I don’t think we will be disadvantaged because we haven’t; we definitely weren’t at Oulton Park and that was the same situation. I feel like I have been away from BSB for the last few weeks, but I have been riding, and now I am back to thinking about what we can do this weekend. It was great to win at Oulton Park but we need to focus on the present and where we head to next.”

Bridewell said: “I am massively looking forward to Snetterton. We are as ready as we can be after not riding for over five weeks, so we will need to start free practice by taking it as it comes and then go from there. I am looking to try and build on Oulton Park where we made a massive leap forward; we are not completely there yet, so if we keep working like we did at the last round, then it won’t take long. I am riding within my limits at the moment to find the last missing piece rather than going banzai. We have made big steps forward and if we can do that again then we will be bang on; if we had a fourth and fifth last time out and are still not quite there, then that shows what we can do once we have everything one hundred percent. I just can’t wait to get back out there.”
