MotoAmerica: Mesa Tops Supersport Q1 At PittRace

Stefano Mesa earned provisional pole position during MotoAmerica Supersport Qualifying One (Q1) on Friday afternoon at Pittsburgh International Race Complex (a.k.a. PittRace), in Wampum, Pennsylvania. Riding his Tytlers Cycles Racing Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, Mesa covered the 2.7-mile course in 1:46.110 to lead the field.

Tyler Scott was second-best with a time of 1:46.745 on his Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R750, and Disrupt Racing Suzuki’s Jake Lewis claimed the third and final spot on the provisional front row with a 1:46.918.

Championship point leader Xavi Fores, who is riding at PittRace for the first time ever, was sixth with a 1:47.100 on his Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati Panigale V2.
