Riding his factory Aruba.it Racing Ducati Panigale V2, the Italian covered the 2.6-mile (4.2 km) track in 1:35.437 to top the field of 31 riders.
Former MotoAmerica regular Valentin Debise, riding his GMT94 Yamaha YZF-R6, was 11th in the session with a time of 1:36.639.
