Simone Corsi recovers after surgery at Oxford

Following the incident that saw Simone Corsi involved during the British GP, yesterday afternoon the NGM Forward Racing rider was brought to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford to undergo a surgery to fix the open and displaced fracture of the ulna of his left arm.

Corsi was operated by Doctor David Noyes and Doctor Tom Braggs to reduce and fix the fracture through a plaque and screws. During the surgery, that lasted more than 4 hours, the doctors discovered injuries to the extensor tendons of the wrist that were repaired.

At the moment it’s difficult to give an exact estimation of the recovery times of the Italian rider that will probably be dismissed tomorrow afternoon from the English Hospital, but his participation to the Grand Prix of San Marino e Riviera Romagnola in 2 weeks time is excluded.

All the members of the NGM Forward Racing Team wish Simone a prompt recovery and they hope to see him back on track as soon as possible.

The Team and Simone Corsi would like to thank the medical staff of the Medical Center of the Silverstone Circuit, the doctors of the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and the doctors of the Clinica Mobile Doctor Michele Zasa and Doctor Francesco Pogliacomi for their support and professionality.
